Partial Seizure?
So I am taking Lamictal for my bi-polar, and I am switching sleep schedules (switching jobs) which means that my medication timing is all wacky. Tonight I was playing guitar hero, and just all of a sudden, the tv and the tv stand were growing, just getting taller and taller. And I stopped doing everything and just watched. My boyfriend freaked out a little bit but I was in this trance where I couldnt really say or do anything, but the tv just kept growing and the wallpaper started to melt.
I have migraine headaches and it was a similar feeling to that, minus the pain and blindness and nausea. Just a weird, peaceful daze.
I feel like I’ve had similar things happen, mostly when I am waking up, but not to this extent. Was this a seizure, and if so, is it just because my meds schedule is off?
It could have been a simple partial seizure. The best way I can describe them is sort of a deja vu feeling, like things aren’t right. Did you hear, smell, or taste anything? When I have them it also seems that people are talking oddly, like I know what they are going to say.
I would say there is a good chance that it was caused by changing you medicine schedule. Lamictal is also an anti-seizure medication (I take it for that) so it could be possible that you have a mild form of epilepsy and the lamictal has been controlling it. (Don’t quote me on that though).
First things first, see your doctor. Maybe bring your boyfriend along so he can describe it.
